If you have a sinus infections as a part of life especially in the winter.Sinusitis, is an inflammation in the lining of the sinuses caused by a bacterial infection. Its symptoms are fever, halitosis, fatigue, congestion, stuffy nose, and headaches.
There are different types of sinusitis :
-acute sinusitis that causes cold-like symptoms but doesn’t go away. The stuffy nose and headaches can persist after 2 weeks.
-subacute sinusitis is worse, with the inflammation lasting up to two months and comes back a few times a year.
Next time when you have a sinus infection try this remedy before visiting a doctor:
the juice of 1 organic lemon, freshly squeezed
1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon of raw, unfiltered honey. Find a local source if you can.
1/4 cup of unfiltered apple cider vinegar.
1/2 cup of pure water.
How to prepare it:
Boil the water to a boil and pour it into a mug.
Stir in the apple cider vinegar let it steep for a few minutes and add the honey and cayenne pepper.Stir.
Squeeze in the lemon juice,mix and you are done.
How to use it:
– drink it twice a day for the duration of the sinus infection:once in morning and once in the evening.
-Apple cider vinegar is good for your immune system and will prevent the spread of bacteria .
The cayenne pepper will help your sinuses drain.
The lemon juice is rich with vitamin C,and is good for your immune system.
Honey is naturally soothing and functions as a mild anti-bacterial agent as well.
